Axis Communications introduces AXIS Object Analytics, an intelligent video analytics application powered by artificial intelligence (AI) powered by deep learning.
The application is suitable for security systems of public buildings, warehouses, parking lots and other facilities. It will be pre-installed on deep learning cameras with firmware 10.3 and later, increasing the functionality of the cameras without additional hardware or costs.
The simple and user-friendly interface of the application allows you to easily configure individual video surveillance scenarios by choosing the conditions for starting video analysis. For example, video analysis starts when an object (person or vehicle) enters the surveillance area or crosses the established virtual border. Thanks to intelligent algorithms, the application is able to ignore objects that are most often the cause of false signals - for example, plants that sway in the wind or shadows moving quickly across the ground.
Attached AXIS Object Analytics data processing takes place in the shortest possible time, reduced bandwidth requirements and storage volume for storing data. If necessary, the application integrates with the event management system and other network solutions.
One of the cameras that supports the application is the AXIS Q1615 Mk III Fixed Box Camera, which is an ideal platform for video analytics. This fixed box camera is equipped with an innovative two-piece chipset that enables highly accurate object classification using Axis' proprietary ARTPEC-7 chip and deep learning processor.
Analyzing the image directly in the camera increases the speed and expands the scalability of the video surveillance system. In addition, the camera processes video images in real-time, which reduces costs and simplifies the system architecture.
AXIS Q1615 Mk III shoots at 120 frames per second in HDTV 1080p resolution, allowing it to capture fast-moving objects in detail and recognize people in any light. Axis Lightfinder 2.0 and Axis Forensic WDR technologies ensure that, even in virtually no light, images remain high quality and colourful.
